Dr. Veronica Ruffin-Ellis, DNP, MSN Ed., RN has 30+ years of direct patient care experience, 23 years of nursing leadership experience in a variety of settings including Med-Surg, Telemetry, Palliative Care, Hospice, Bariatrics, Hematology/Oncology, Long Term Care, and Nursing Education. Dr. Ellis currently holds the position of Provincial Director of Health Services for the Dominican Friars. Her eight years experience as a Field Medical Specialist with the United States Army Reserve was a timely commitment after graduating from high school. Dr. Ellis’ experience also includes survey preparation for The Joint Commission, The Department of Health, and Magnet Recognition Credentialing.

The blessings of these experiences have been many, however the most important takeaway, is the desire and need to pay it forward. 

Being a supportive, vulnerable, hence transparent and respectful leader are the assets that will make paying it forward attainable.
