Being Prepared saves you time!

I’ve been asked to share the following tips:

  1. If you have a preference, ask which vaccine is offered at the site before you register online or in person. Search vaccines.gov.
  2. Wearing your mask and maintaining the CDC recommended precautions such as social distancing is required at vaccine sites.
  3. Despite the information you may have completed online, there are documents that must be completed at all vaccination sites.
  4. Have your picture ID ready when registering at a vaccination site.
  5. After registering, while waiting for the Nurse, remove some layers of clothing.
  6. While with the Nurse, there will be a few more questions to answer, some will be the same as when you registered…an extra safety check.
  7. As the Nurse enters your answers, get your designated arm ready for injection,  expose your upper arm area.
  8. Do not massage the area after receiving the vaccination (moving your arm up and down is okay).
  9. Be prepared to wait 15 minutes (or more if advised) after receiving the vaccine. This is for your safety.
  10. You should maintain the recommended safety measures even after you have been vaccinated.
